I know this threads been "dead" (for lack of a better term), but i saw it when it was first started, and wanted to post something. School has taken a lot of my time, and i'm finally on winter break

I don't know if this counts specifically, but its related to are trucks, considering thats what i modeled it off of...
Also, i'm a huge fan of legos, as you may be able to tell. (please dont make fun :l )
See more pics here :P http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/243450

Here's a legitimate fabrication:

My grandfathers been in metal working all his life (and has an entire metal working shop in his garage ), and was nice enough to help me fab some longer spring mounts.

Rear Backup Light Assist

Did another fabrication today. Iv always had a problem seeing where im going when backing up in the dark. Ever since i bought the truck the backup lights were kinda dim (from what iv researched on line, all Toyota pickups have dime backup lights). But when i had my windows tinted, boy did it make it worse. Not thinking i had them put limo black tint on the rear window, so it made it impossible to see where i was going in the dark. So i got the idea of putting an extra set of lights just for that purpose. I bought some 55W halogen fog lights and wired bolted them underneath the rear bumper. So now if im backing up and cant see, i just flip a switch in the cab and bingo, let there be light!!!!

It came with its own fuse so i routed the wire to the battery with the supplied fuse.

After

Tucked up high off the ground so they stand a better chance when wheeling

That will be next. Im planing to buy some LEDs from Superbright.com and put them in where the backup lights go. So now ill be able to go down the freeway at night in revers. Ill probably have more light coming out the back then up front with the high beams on!!

This is where i got the idea about the LEDs for the rear lights. http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/minutemods/tail_lights/

Yup, I've read that before!

That concerns me with LED's...

I can have LED signals and brakes and interior... but my headlights?..... sigh... lol
