Hi There are a bunch of little threads about ignition switch replacement but most are a little vague Im wondering if anyone can give me a good procedure for ignition switch and key cylinder replacement. this is a 92 x cab 4x4 4 cylinder 5 speed pickup
IT should be pretty straight forward, remove the surround. Unclip the wiring from the cylinder. Then snap the breakaway bolts that hold the cylinder in and remove it.
I have a 92, All I did was put the key in "ACC", and pushed the button on the bottom of the cylinder, and it popped right out. The new one slides in the same way.
