installing a cigarette lighter

hello all,
I searched the forum for threads about installing a cigarette lighter in my 92 pickup, but no luck. I looked behind the CD player, and in the harness of wires, I found an extra plug/wire. I was wondering if this is the stock wire to power the optional OEM cigarette lighter? The color is kind of salmon pink with a black stripe. It has a blue plastic connector on the end of it. Thanks for the help.

Yes very good chance. Because mine had a stock one, and the plug was messed up from the previous owner, so ijust cut the plug out and spliced the wires, and i specifically remember the plug being blue. just as long as theres 12v going through that wire when the ignition is "ON" thats it, then you just run your ground to one of the pillar things or anything to the body in the area

According to the wiring diagram in the FSM, the lighter + wire is gray w/red stripe and the neg wire is white w/blk stripe.
