1993 22re popping fuses

I have a 1993 22re that is popping the efi fuse. I have replaced the fuel pump and the relay switch. I did a ohms test to check for shorts in the wireing and can't find any. I had it running and let it idle for about 10 minutes. I took it out for a test drive and it popped the fuse again and now it just pops the fuse everytime I turn the key. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem with my truck, very good possibility there is a short somewhere. Sometimes can be hard to find, mine was the o2 sensor. I wouold keep looking

There's some wiring that goes over the valve cover that tends to chafe and short out.
Inspect it all. O2 sensor wires is another good call.

i dont have my fuse box lid so i dont know where my efi fuse is can any body help i have a 91' hilux

I messed with my truck for 3 weeks before I got flustered and took it to my mechanic. He had it for 4 weeks looking for the problem. It turned out that the previous owner had installed a aftermarket security system in the truck. They mounted it under the dash up by the key switch. The whole dash was removed before he found it. Needless to say he did a slam dunk in the trash with the aftermarket part. He put it back to stock..... he only charged me $125 for his time. I was so happy I bought his whole shop pizza for lunch..... My mechanic is the man......

Yes he is.
A. for bothering to look at it.
B. for only charging you that much.

I'm glad there're a few honest ones other still out there. From having been on that side of things, I know how it can be sometimes.
