What size tires fit 92 pu standard rims?

Hi all.

I have always run P195/75 R14 tires (standard steel Toyota rims) on my 92 base 2wd, but need some low-cost replacements. I have a used set available, but two are P195/75 R14, and two are P205/75 R14. Would these larger tires fit the rims safely? Obviously the larger ones go on the back..any problems with these size differences? The 205 just means they're slightly wider, but they should fit the 14 inch rims, right?

Thanks in advance.

The 205/75 is about 1/2" wider than the 195, and they will fit the rims just fine.

The 205s are also 0.6" taller than the 195s and will make the speedo about 1.5mph slow at 60mph. But yes, they'll fit just fine. I have 205/75-R14s on all corners of my truck and the speedo is actually dead-on.
