91 pickup v6 help...wont start

i recently had no spark out of half the distributor.. i picked upa distributor and had it put on.. the truck got started and ran like crap i verily made it home.. once got home woudnt start again.. if i put my foot or acellerator over 1/4 down it would slow down and rack the rpms up and run crappy and i could verily get it to 55...i need some major help..

well i messed with the timing and it started..i brought it to my freind and put light on it and he said its way off..he said the when they put the distributor in they had it off a gear..so tommrow goin fix it.. its driving shitty right now.. its been a month now and im so happy it even starts..hopefully tommorow its purrrin again..

well i put it on a timing light and its running better.. but its backfirg somewhat and running rough all new wires plugs rotor button n cap .. all in correctly..but running bad any suggestions..

I would double check the wires to make sure a pair didn't get swapped.

i checked the wires there all on there corectly. its really hard to start in the morning also.. starts ok when its warmed up.. but still missing out.

i went and put some engine restore in and some slick 50 fuel sstyem cleaner and some heat .. and some better gas.. it seemed to run somewhat better.. but i did notice the only hestitation i really get is when the rpms are 2k or below.. wich it misses out ..and in like 5th gear in misses out when doin bout 55 ..its also hard to start cold..and it didnt do this bout month ago before i did some repairs..any suggestions...also i had my truck running when i put some engine restore in and the oil cap i took off and it died not sure if thats normal but prob is.. but did start back up..
