1992 pickup dlx 22-re exhaust

what is the inlet diameter to the muffler for a 1992 toyota pickup 22-re? I want to get a flowmaster 40 series. Will i be able to just add the muffler to the stock exhaust system? And will it still sound good?

get 2.25 inch pipes. That is perfect for backpressure, but you're gonna want 2 inch pipes if you run duals. It will sound real good if you run the setup listed above. THe right tip is really one of the most important factors to sound.

yeah black93dx is right about the piping diameter. Alot of guys out here like to put flows right after the cat or straight pipe it to cat location. They are loud but sound pretty good i guess. Adding it to stock will be nonsense i mean look at the piping after the cat.

I run the 2.25" pipe from the manifold back. Been using the Flowmaster 40 Delta series with great results.

I did totally rebuild the motor with 30 over and a Crane Cam, also punched out the cat since it was plugged and fit a chunk of pipe inside the cat to act as a straight pipe.

Nice low torque, good rumble, a little obnoxious in the 3200rpm range where it resonates.
