I bought a project truck, and it came with disconnected wires.Specificly,a blue wire right next to the battery, and the 4 carb wires. Its a later model 22r, so the conectors didnt match the truck, and the former owners just drove it disconnected& running poorly. Can anyone tell me about these wires, or shoot me a link? thanks....................

i have the repair manual for an 81 pickup. it has major and minor repair procedures, as well as all the wiring and vacuum tube diagrams. the cover is in bad shape, but it has al the pages and pictures. i will sell it for like 15 or 20 bucks (shipping from California for a heavy book plus some profit). if you want it i will sell it. price is negociable
1) i can't spell, thats what my girlfriend is for.
2) i recieved the manual in its present condition from a friend, who found in the back of his dads shop. i also have a manual just for engines from 75 to 85. he gave them to me because i have a 1980 4x4 pickup. if you want it, find out what shipping isfor fedex and ups from 93444 in California. it is a fairly heavy book. about the size of the average school textbook.
3) if you want to post some pictures of your buildup, i think it would be really cool. i am interested to see what people are doing with our body style.
sorry guys this is not a showable truck, you would want to puke.I bought it from a wrecker after it rolled, because of the many new parts it had.I live next to the oregon dunes offroad area, and the truch has become a sandbox toy.Nothing beats the reliability and strenth of the solid axle, its way heavier duty than any of the later offerings. If something gets too smashed,I either beat it out,of cut it off.I know that sounds bad,But do you know how much fun it really is?I feel for californians,my favorite beach got closed because of a rat called the marbled murlette. They said it was the rats habitat and the PEOPLE had to stay away.I used to get shi**y and talk about shooting them. Thanks for the book offer, but it goes against the theme on this rig.

no problem with the book. i feel for that rat crap though. the local eco-nazis keep trying to close the pismo dunes (i live near there when i am not at college) because of a little bird called the snowy plover. luckily, the eco-nazis have not yet reached there goals . good luck with your build up, keep us posted.
Greg...I was talking about a picture of the wires and engin bay, and all surrounding wires needed to be hooked up...
