84 questions, mostly BS!

first id like to say way to go toyota nation, we finally have are own forum for pre 88 toyotas, how great!!! anyway there seems to be a (for the most part) lot of knowledgable toyota freaks out there just like me so hopefully we can exchange info. about 6 yrs ago i sawa friends 86 yota and i wanted one, i found me a 88xtracab4x4, in good condition, with a few upgardes. and it was like that i was hooked, and i havent looked back since. i wouldnt have anything else but a toyota. ok heres the questions. ive decided, well i fanilly have enough money that is , to fix up a 84 4x4 xtra cab that i had bought a fews yrs back. it had some cheesy homemade tube bumper on it, that was the second thing to go. any way i want to get a grill, bumper, bumper ends, valance, the whole deal. what all will fit up, ive heard maybe a 89 will fit? is THIS true. anything newer???? if 89 will fit i would consider it, has anyone done it? second i want a nice seat for the inside, ive once again "heard" that you can find a newer honda civic buckets or maybe leather bmw seatssomethen like that that will fit right in with minamal effort??? is this true????? what seats have you guys swaped in that will for sure fit. id also like to put one in my 88, are they the same seat? they are both bench seats. anything you have done to your 84 or 88 that is out of the odinary dont be shy, ok im officially a freak. l

All I know is that up to 88 all parts are prety much the same as your 84. They changed the body style in 89. Not saying you can't get 89+ stuff to fit on but it might be more difficuls and require more parts.

For example I know Ford's are same from 80-86 but 87-89 front ends(sheetmetal & grill) will fit provided you replace the entire front end including radiator core support. Might be kinda the same with the Toyta. But someone on here should know for sure.
