Used Sienna/What Year is Good?

Does anyone know which year would be best if I was to buy a used Sienna? I need a utililty vehicle and prefer this over a truck since ther is more privacy to it. I prefer LE edition and thanks in advance.

Well we have a 2000 Toyota sienna LE we bought it at 90,000 mile for $11,000. I think my dad has spent around 4 grand on it. But we got a notice that some sienna come with defects that has to do with the engine. Luckily for us it didnt have that defect. I would suggest try to find a newer model, just because of gas prices. I've heard that even though both are 6 cylinders the newer ones get more MPG's.

Let me know what you end up deciding.

I'm also thinking of getting an older Sienna ('99-'02) and am wondering the same thing. Are there any years to avoid?

we bought a 2002 new, best vehicle we have ever owned. has 102K now.

I have changed oil at 5k intervals with 10w40 valvoline
trans service, coolant ser at 60K
plugs, timing belt, pvc. drive belts at 90k

Take care of them and they are fine vehicles.

did have a p1135 service code at 100K cost about $300 to have that repaired, that's all I have ever done other that normal maintenance.

We're now looking at 2004-2005 XLEs. They seem to be pretty reliable.

we havent had a single problem with ours. just normal maintenance stuff like oil and brakes. in fact i'm having the top end of the engine cleaned out this weekend along with my car then shortly after it's getting new plugs just cause. i rather offer a car to someone that i know is in great condition.

we have no compliants about ours.
