2004 HIGHLANDER STARTED STALLING AROUND 32k MILES, DEALERS NOT HELPFUL. HELP!!

Very sincere owner. Would rather fix than play lemon. Car usually stalls when accelerating or decelerating at slower speeds(15-40MPH). Classic scenario: Slowing down at stoplight and engine cuts out, or....merging onto onramp and begining to accelerate. Tank is always at least 1/4 full when this happens. Dealer has found no codes on diagnostic, and refusese to do any troubleshooting. I tried another dealer, and they just 'drove' it. Both claim non-reproducibility and 'mea culpas'. My wife and I almost got creamed Friday night when it stalled on a freeway onramp. We love the car, and it has only just(32K miles) started doing this. Help help help!

Exclamation Report it to TOYOTA Headquarter if the dealer "CANNOT" help

This should not happen at all if you buy it new!!
If the dealer refuses to help, call TOYOTA Headquarter and talk to the superviser.
They will be glad to give the dealership some preasure through the customer relationship supervisors.
Just do not take "NO" for an answer.
This is your right to do so!

I agree. Have you changed the oil and air filter? If the air filter is clogged with something it may stall. Other than that maybe the idle RPMs are too low but the dealer should notice that!

CALL TOYOTA and ask them to call the dealership. You have a warranty they should never tell you to go away.
