install / mount Cd Changer in rav4

Hi

I am installing a cd-changer (sony 10 disc CDX565MXRF) in 2005 rav-4 (L). So far I have done all the wiring – i.e ran the wires from sides of drivers seat to the trunk. Also fixed the connections to the antenna (got directions from sony’s website) the only 2 things remaining which I need some help with are
  • where in the trunk can I mount the changer as there has to be a black (lead) wire for earthing to be fixed to a metal in the trunk and I cannot figure a position for it

  • the other end of the electric wire which are in red and yellow – where and how do I fix them. I will connect the one end to the changer
any help / pictures will be of much help

Thx
Prem

power-tap help for changer

anyone have some experince creating power-tap. i got everything done else done except the last step to fix the red and yellow wires from the changer to blue/red and white wires in fusebox. i did learn that red --- blue/red and yellow -- white connections

1. From my previous un-install process I have learned that I could power-tap these from the wires located in the fusebox below the steering wheel in civic. however in Rav4 , its difficult to open this compartment under the steering wheel

2. without opening this compartment (fusebox), I was able to view inside (sneak) and there were a lot of wires.... is there a better can to create this power-tap.

anyone have some experience / pictures of the same

Thx
Prem

Awesome work... Great site and pictures.
I have an question for you. - In your pictures
http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...48_64_full.jpg

when you connect the 12 volt wires of the changer to the car (pict 64 as above link) you have a black wire and a white wire , which again easily connects in the car as in the next picture.
In my case
I have to fix the red and yellow wires from the changer to blue/red and white wires in fusebox. i did learn that red connects to blue/red and yellow connects white connections
any clue how to do this like the way you have done it?
sub Question - the black and the white wires for the changer in your case -- was it with sockets or you converted it from some u - shaped end connectores into a socket?
