wind sound from 2007 RAV4

Just got the 2007 RAV4 base. When driving on highway, such as 60mile/h, you can hear the sound of the wind, like whistling. It is kind of annoying, especially for the driver. It seems the sealing is not good somewhere. It is a brand-new car. Does someone meet the same problem? , Is it normal or not? Thanks

Check the position of the cross rails on the roof rack, I moved both of mine all the way back for less wind noise. My '06 is very quiet, not much wind noise at all, road noise is much more prominent, depending on the road surface. I also have Weathertech in-channel side window visors, they also helped reduce wind noise.

I did adjust the roof rack one time. Didn't work. I guess I should tried it more.

Thanks

Check the little plastic covers on the bottom of your side view mirrors. Tap on them and if you hear/feel one of them click or "bottom out", you may be getting noise or a wind vibration. This happened to the passenger side mirror on my 07. Very annoying and only happened during certain conditions like a crosswind. good luck

Wind Noise

My 2007 has wind noise coming from the passenger side also. And it only happens at weird speeds and crosswinds. I'll check the bottom of the mirror and report back. Thanks

Dealer ordered parts to fix the mirror noise problem. I will post what it is when I get it.

Check the orientation of the roof rack cross rails.
There's a little arrow on them that should be pointing forward.
Many cross rails were installed backwards by dealers.
Many people with 06 & 07 Ravs had this problem and it caused noise.
