2003 rav 4 leaking clean water from blower

Hello, and thanks for looking.
2003 toyota rav4 leaking clean water frrom passenger side blower just under glove box.
Spoke to my brother who is a mechanic (several states away) and said to post in forum to get ideas on where the drain nipple/condensation hose is (that it is being blocked and causing the condensation to overflow/backflow) - so I could diagnose this, and probably clean/fix it myself. Problem is locating this system/hose/nipple with out tearing up all the carpet, etc...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Need to find the drain hose under the outside of the car, not in the car.

Thanks for the reply

Hey - thank you for the reply...

Do yo know specifically where to look?
In the wheel well, at the back of the wheel well?, behind the wheel well?

Is the hose rubber?, black?, what is the diameter?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Never have had to clean it myself, the heater/cooling coil is as you say on the passenger side. Look underneath the car approx. where the passenger area is and should see some sort of tubing or hose coming down and open ended. A mechanic would take compressed air and blow it up the tube to clear the clog. Since you're not likely to have compressed air, you could take another piece of tubing and put it over the drain and blow into it, or use some sort of material that can be used as a snake, like stiff wire.

I had this problem last year. I was underneath the console in the passenger side foot well, back around the centre console, and in the process of trying to find the problem i obviously undid whatever kink had developed as water started pouring out from under the car - problem fixed, have not had an issue since. my advice is to look around in the back left of the passenger footwell - try (carefully) to pull up the carpet and you will hopefully have the success i had!
