I dont think you will see anything new on the RAV4 for a few years. They resdesigned it a couple years ago.
I think you might see a RAV4 Hybrid though. The RAV4E (electric) never really caught on (lack of charging stations and short range) but I think a RAV4 Hybrid would be a hit.

Actually the Rav4 will be totally different for 2006 and will offer a v6 option.

The new rav4 will be at dealerships early December of this year. The new V6 Rav4 will be available Feb. '06

Wow, Im surprised they are doing another redesign so soon. I hope that the V6 in the RAV4 doesnt kill the milage like it does in the Escape V6. 23 mpg highway is NOT acceptable in a mini SUV like that.

The last redesign of the RAV4 was in 2001. Therefore, it's due as Toyota redesigns every 5 years. Nice to see a V6 version. I guess I'll wait to see what the new one looks like. I've seen a few spy shots, but for some reason, Toyota wants to keep this a big secret. From what I've seen so far, it reminds me of a Mazda3 Sport on steroids with a 4Runner grill:
