we got a prev aswell, 2.4 and yes, a bit underpowered (especialy since we're running gas...), went for a big drive today (250km) had to pick up some things, and damn, that still is a very very good car.

but S/C'ing this thing ? no..., I wouldn't

I think the Previa uses the 22R Truck motor.

It's underpowered for driving it teenager style...but the thing got a gob of torque.

S/C was an option during the van's last few years...and it was standard on the 4WD models as well.

S/C RWD ones do exist...but I think most S/C'ed Previas are 4WD.

5-speed Previas are VERY VERY rare, but they do exist. Same goes for the hyper yellow previas with dual sunroofs.

I had a 5-speed Previa, not S/C tho. S/C was an option, then made standard on all Previas in the last two years.

5-speed Previa wasn't bad, our's had 242k on it when we sold it and never any major mechanical problems. Not fast by far though, gears had the ratio of a pick up truck. The 4 cyl was underpowered but torquey when needed.
