91 Previa frt wheelbearings and struts, what!?

My front wheelbearings are making a little noise around corners, so I made some calls to cost replacement, as well as replacing strut inserts while it's in the shop.
Am I hearing correctly that front wheelbearing replacement is almost $700, and strut replacement is nearly $500.
If this is correct, I'll take my BMW back, please.
Someone let me know if I am getting the corect info. We love this van, but it is a 91, and can't be worth much more than these two routine items. Educate me, please!
Thanks, Greg

Try this link:

http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/previa/files/

Once there, find Strut Illustrated Parts Breakdown.pdf.

There's also a file at the above link that goes through the replacement step by step I believe.
