94 previa spark plug

today i thought of looking at my previa a little more and thought about changing the spark plugs and i'm looking and looking and i seem to have a bit of a problem trying to find them. can anyone tell me where they're located in the car since this is the most oddly built car that i've seen in a while. since the engine is underneath the driver side seat. i thought it would be under there but it wasn't unless i didn't look hard enough. and is it hard changing them, i still remember when i did them on a v-style engine and that was a b***h to change them. when i look at the manual and see where they're located at it doesn't even say anything about location. and read that this is a inline engine. but having trouble finding them. any help would be appreciated.

This may sound crazy but here goes. To access the plugs you need to remove the front passenger seat. I think there are 4 or 5 bolts holding it down. Once the seat is out remove the carpet where the seat you remove was located. Pull it back far enough to get access to the bolted panel. I think there may be 10 or 12 small bolts securing the panel to the body.
Once you remove the bolts the panel should slide out and you will see a bolted plastic cover. Remove the 3 bolts holding the cover and you will have access to the spark plugs.
Good Luck.

just as ciw stated. i removed my passenger seat last night, and it was 4 bolts to get it out. removed the plastic trim piece that runs under the door, and then the access panel once the carpet was pulled back.

you may want to replace your rotor, distributor cap, and plug wires while you're at it. that is unless the 94 is a distributorless unit.

oil leak

If it hasn't started to leak oil at the distributor yet - - it will soon. While you are at it, pull the distributor and replace the oil seal (big O-ring) on the distributor shaft. Replacing plugs on a Previa is a lot easier than a V6 Camry or Avalon.
