How to disable Previa oil reservoir pump?

I have a 92 Previa Delux. Recently, I have discovered that the oil reservoir level had gone down, and the engine oil was over-filled. I disconnected the power cable to the Oil reservoir pump, but this caused the "low oil" light to flash (not on solide).

I know there is the connector to the oil level sensor in the drain pan. If I disconnect that, I would not get the warning that the oil was really low.

Is there a way to disable the oil reservoir pump without getting flashing warning lights and still get the low oil warning to work properly?

The schematics show an Engine Oil fuse that only seems to be used for the "automatic oil feeder motor". Would removing that fuse do what I want?

Thanks in advance.

Canada Oil tank

I had the same problem. The dealership unplugged the tank, but then I had some warning light on the dash. I emptied the tank, hooked up the tank wire ( think it is only for the pump) and the problem was solved. The real fix is supposed to be many dollars. Hope this helps.

Simple fix. On your oil pan you will see something sticking out, remove it (after you drain the oil) and look at it. There is a metal donut that floats on a shaft. All you need to do is take some sand paper and clean up the shaft, good as new.
