Electronically activated 4WD

Well today i discovered something very interesting in my landcriuser (1992 LC Prado SX). To activate the 4WD you simply push two buttons.

1. One activates the power locking hubs....
2. Two activates the gearbox.

Now whats interesting is that the gear box is activated NUMATICALLY (by air).There are two little Vacumme valves which the computer switches off and on ( never both on at the same time). this changes the direction of vacumme at a component of the gearbox activating the 4WD....Thought is would interest some readers. Now ive told you something you dont know tell me something i dont....
