4.5L engine, venezuelan landcruiser

hi guys, i live in panama and im looking at a 1999 venezuelan manufactured landcruiser with the 6cyl 4.5L engine, 5speed stickshift. the thing is fully offroad ready, here is a link if anyone wants to see it http://www.autoestilo.net/auto.php?auto=873&imagen=15

the thing is that is a pretty big engines and gas prices are pretty high over here (diesel engines are preferred for this reason). my question is, what kind of mileage can be expected of a car like this? is it a wallet breaker or what? ive been told since it is a relatively big engine it shouldnt be that bad in highways but i want your opinions.

thanks a lot

My 1989 gets 12 city 18 hwy. Bad but if you are not driving it as your primary and want to use it in the snow or in the mountains it's hands down worth it.

Like any second hand car its a risk.

My experience is the engine will keep ticking along but before you buy check out the transmission...I think the gear boxes are their weakest link....
If you want to but a landcruiser you have to afford the fuel! There are cheaper cars out there

Hey! I own one of those... they are beautifull
I live in venezuela and i get (I know it wont help much) about 350Km for about 70L.
It has a 90L gas tank and we dont worry about gas prices here because it is extreamly cheap... just to get an idea, a liter is worth Bs. 97, 1 dollar is worth about Bs. 6200. so normaly i will get my tank full for just over $ 1.25
