suggestions for replacing starter on 2000 LC

i have a 2000 lc and love it - only problem is now i have the clicking problem sometimes at startup - i replaced the battery first - thought that was the problem - but im not that lucky - then i find out you dont just crawl under and take a few bolts out and take cable off either --- SO i am here asking for a few suggestions on replacing the starter - i have read where and how to do it - but what i need to know is do i need boht upper and lower intake manifold gaskets and if not which ones (maybe a part #and brand) would be great and then for the starter - denso ?? and maybe a reputable place to buy it - i saw a few on ebay OEM starters and new not rebuilt - thing is i want to replace with something taht im not gonna have to go back in for a while -- also can you suggest anything other than gaskets and starter that i may need before i start the project or if you have done one yourself then maybe a suggestion or two as to problems you may have had -- thanks for any help here

Genuine Toyota OEM parts are usually far superior to any aftermarket parts, at least that's what I've found to be the case on my 89 FJ62.

Check out the 100 series discussions on the Mud board. http://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series-cruisers/

I'm sure there are discussions posted there.

Good luck!
