2003 Land Cruiser

I'm new to this forum and I'm negotiating a purchase of an '03 LC with 63,000 miles for $25,500. The dealer who has it says it's in perfect condition with a clean CarFax record. He got it from a wholesaler and says it was a one owner trade-in at a Mercedes dealership. I don't think they have any detailed service records (not sure at this point). He's had it for over two months and wants to move it at a reduced price.

In researching Land Cruisers I've read that the 60K, 120K, and 180K services are around $1500. Other than those big ones, what kind of regular maintenance costs am I looking at on this vehicle?

Also, what are the important (read expensive) items that I should have checked by a Toyota mechanic before purchasing?

I'm 3 hours away from the dealer so I'd need a plan when I drive up there.

Thanks in advance.

Picked up the LC today. The dealer had the 60k service done at no charge to me. Everything looks, sounds, and feels good. I hope to keep this one a long time.

It's a Land Cruiser!

Take good care of it and you can expect 250,000+ miles!

I've got an 89 and it's got 289K+ on it. It's not uncommon for a Cruiser to go 300K+

Check out this site. It is Land Cruiser heaven!
