Newbie Day from Heck!

This is in reference to a 1996 LC.
Okay, it started out with a malfucntioning DS door latch. I'm hoping it's a broken spring because I don't want to for the $513 relacement latch. I removed the interior panel, etc. and needed to disconnet the solenoid, so I disconnected the Neg term from the battery. When I re-connected the battery the alarm went off. I told the guy I bought the car from (Toyota Reapir Shop) that I would never use the alarm, and to disconnect it. I have never used the alarm and was "alarmed" when it went off. The truck will not start. I have tried removing most of the fuses (to no avail). Anyone have any suggestions?

BTW, anyone have a spare DS door latch?

Check www.cruiserparts.net they should have one or can find one for you. They are great pepole to deal with.

Another place to look is the For Sale forum at www.ih8mud.com.

The mud board is an excellent source for all things Cruiser.

Good luck and welcome to the addiction!
