Replacement Shocks for 96 FJ

I'd like to replace the original OEM shocks on my 96. Mostly highway travel with occasional beach and mountain dirt roads. Current ride is rather teeth jarring, I'd like to smooth it out if I could. Anyone have suggestions on brands/models?

For me, the top three are (from least expensive)
OEM shocks from Toyota (recommend CDan at Ih8mud.com)
Bilstein shocks
OME shocks (Old Man Emu)

OEMs are not very $$$ and do a .... correct job. I do not know for the 80 series but the OEM shock for my 70 series is a simple action shock.

OME are top but $$$.

Bilstein are available with Off-road package with the Tacoma, for example. So i should not be so bad.

I have KYB gas-a-just on my Cruiser and I am very satisfied.
