Canada Very Hot Transmission

I have an automatic 1990 Prado SX5, 4 cyl, diesel, and the tranny is hotter than hell. I can even feel it inside the cab. I know that these vehicles do not have a lot of insulation and the tranny temp light doesn't come on. Am I just being paranoid or is something wrong with it?

How about the fluid level ?

Is there a trans cooler ?

How about the speed/RPM shift ?

Take a change at : http://forum.ih8mud.com/90-series-tech/ in the 90 serie forum.

the fluid is good. There is a trans fluid cooler and it seems to be shifting at normal RPM.

are you sure is the trans? Maybe is the engine heat / have you check to see if your heater is on?
