Removing 3rd Row Seats 2009

New to this forum, hope to get some questions answered as I contemplate buying an 09 LC. The most pressing question is the third row seats: can they be permenantly removed from the vehicle? How difficult a process is it? I have no need for the third row seats and would prefer to have the cargo space.

Currently driving a 2006 4runner. Does anyone who has driven both feel that the LC is much bigger feeling when you are driving it? Numbers wise the LC isn't that much bigger but it gives that feeling when you look at it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Based on your needs go with a Sequoia.

I have both a 99 4Runner and a 09 TLC. It doesn't really look like you can take the seats out of the LC because of the way they hinge and pivot out of the way. I'm sure you could get in there and unbolt all kinds of things, but... So, I'd have to agree with the previous post that you're probably better off with a top-end Sequoia if you're looking at a lot of cargo space. My criticism of the TLC is that, for its size, it does not have a lot of cargo room in the back. However, it is bigger than my 4Runner. It's considerably wider at least. Whenever I get in my 4Runner, I feel like my wife is sharing my seat. That's definitely not the case in the TLC. Nonetheless, the TLC is just as easy to drive, park, back up...it's very maneuverable and the sensors/camera make parking a snap.

I have a bunch of other Land Cruiser gripes, but those are my thoughts on cargo space.

Just an update..............

I bought a 2008 LC with 19k on the odometer. Love it so far and the 3rd row seats were easily removed.
