What would you do?

So my 96' Tacoma 4x4 V6 is getting down to it's last couple years of life. By next year sometime I'll need to be looking for something new or different. So I've always liked my truck and it's pushing 280k miles right now. So Toyota will be a requirement for my next ride.
I'm looking at a 80 series Cruiser or possibly a Sequoia. Thought about another Tacoma, but for the new body styles they hold their value to the point where I would rather get a slightly higher mileage Land Cruiser and enjoy the roomieness as well as off road capabilities. I'm an avid duck and deer hunter and 4x4 is a must have to get to a cabin of mine in the ozarks. The width of the Cruiser shouldn't be a problem, but I don't want the old in line 6, my dad had a 93 and it was under powered.
Let me know what you guys think about the Sequoia vs. the Cruiser. Gas mileage will be about the same I'm guessing, just looking for a reason to make up my mind. Thanks for any help!

Drive the 100 series. 4.7 V8 is a huge step from the 80. Not to count the luxury. Steer clear of the seqiuoa. It's a big Toyota suv made for fat americans. Landcruisers ( the 100) was built with a 25 year service life in mind. 100 is a extremely good expedition platform and can wheel just about anywhere a 80 can go with some lockers and armor. Just has a V8 and ifs.

Ih8mud will give you MUCH better feedback.

Go with the cruiser and the 4.7L you won't go wrong. And you are right about the inline 6 "under powered" and a gas hog about 12 mpg.
