Miss the old FJ40

Newbie here,

I really miss the old FJ40. I like the new one, but it seems to interfere with teh 4Runner, just like the new RAV4 kinda interferes with the Highlander. Does anyone know if Toyota might bring back a little jeep-like vehicle? Maybe badge it as a Scion, which I wouldn't mind. Give me a 4 or economy 6 cylinder with 4 wheel drive and the bare essence and I would not hesitate in getting one. I love the old FJ and Jeep Wrangler.

Anyone know why they stopped the FJ40 design and went big and stationwagon like (current Landcruiser)? Did they get sued by Jeep???

apparently there's a company that will sell reconditioned original FJ's for a price.. you can even have them custom built to specifications. i found that out from a car mag that was introducing the new FJ

I saw that too...they want like $80k for brand new and up to date FJ with eith a big v8 or 6 cylinder. I think I rather buy off craigslist and pay some guy $10k instead.

Let's hope the new FJ is sweet or I'm looking at a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

RAV4 manual transmission is gone too..

The way I see it, FJ is my only choice in a Toyota SUV now, thanx to the stupid PRNDLs..

I grew up in old FJs and have been dreaming in getting the old one 1980-84 ones.. but the stupid banks won't give me loan long enough to pay them off.. and as a married guy I will never have cash...

May be in a few years I can get a used 07 6 speed FJ.
