Question Mpg??

Toyota FJ Cruiser web site is not working for updates and specs for me. My brother is thinking about one in the KC, KS area. What kind of MPG are they geting?? What is the price range?

Anyone in the KC area know if there is off-roading on the outskirts of town??

Just did a 700+ mile trip, Interstate most of the way doing around 80 mph. I got a solid 20 mpg for the trip. I have a 4x4 automatic.

This is the first vehicle I've ever seen where the automatic gets better gas mileage than the manual transmission. I prefer a manual transmission, but if the automatics get 2 mpg better, I may have to reevaluate my choice... (Projected FJ purchase in 2008)

Any ideas why?
