FJ vs Tacoma

Need honest opinions here, what would be better for offroading, the FJ or the Tacoma?

Approach angles are better on the FJ. I believe wheel/suspension travel is better on the FJ as well.

Fewer off road parts for the FJ at present, that could change in the future.

FJ tighter turning circle. shorter wheelbase would be plus in technical stages.

Tacoma wheelbase probably better for fast off road.

On second thought, "Off Road" is just too broad a catagory to compare these vehicles.
are you talking about:

Mud bogs
Hill climbs
Desert fireroads
rock climbing
rally circuit

At the end of the day, it is probably more about styling and whether you want a truck or an SUV.

Having both, I say the FJ is better out of the box then the Tacoma. Suspension travel is the same, it's the same suspension but maj75 was right on the money about the rest. There is also just as much aftermarket stuff for the FJ as well there may be more, everything you can get for the Tacoma you can already get for the FJ. Suspension, bumpers, sliders, everything.
