Power Sunroof

Hi all,

Just ordered my Sun Fusion FJ this weekend. I wanted to know if it's possible to install an aftermarket power sunroof. I read in another post on here that Toyota says not to do it. Is it possible and will it effect my warranty?

Thanks in advance

there are "reputable" places that will install them

no aftermarket thing will affect yoru warranty unless that item is the proven cause of your vehicles failure (magnuson-moss warranty act)

HOWEVER.. almost every aftermarket sunroof I have seen installed, leaked.
So I would not do it personally.

Thanks OFRD_GRL,

Good thing it's easy to clean the iside then. You're right about sunroofs leaking but it's something I can live with.

Get my new Sun Fusion FJ early next week!

Gotta agree w/ofrd-grl. If you have an aftermarket sunroof installed it'll leak. The worst part is if it leaks and drains into the headliner it could cause all sorts of badness from mold to even damaging those speakers that are built in the headliner. I would definetly stay away from that mod if I were you.
