Turtle Wax ICE!!

anybody wanting to know what to do first with their FJ or any vehicle of course is highly recommended to use Turtle Wax Ice. Ive been using good products all my life and must say that this is the easiest and fastest product i have ever used. there is no whitening and u can use it on ALL! parts of the vehicle. Makes the black even look better so u dont have that graying appearence. Not recommended on glass but overwipe on the glass didnt hurt anything of course and no streaking. I got the poslish and the detailer for in between waxes and both are excellent. Not worried about time consuming waxes anymore. Costs a little more than most but barely used any at all. Use sparingly to make it even easier. Its a heavy liquid form not like a lotion.
I am hooked. Good prep before muddin that FJ.

Canada Waxes, Polishes, Glazes

I had the hood of my '02 Highlander repainted due to stone chips. When I asked how long I should wait before waxing it, I was advised not to use a polish but a 'paint glaze'. Polishes were harder on clear coat finishes then glazes. I'm no expert on the subject but I would check any cleaning product to make sure that it states that it is safe for Clear Coat finishes.
I have been using Meguiar's Mirror Glaze on the '02 and now on my '06 Highlander and have been very pleased with it. It also does not dry white. I'll check out the Turtle Wax ICE next time I'm out and about! Enjoy the FJ. I am also interested in that model or a 4Runner for my next vehicle.

Turtle Wax Ice

My bad. Should have explained its a Clear Synthetic Liquid Polish made by Turtle Wax and can be used on clear coats. Its brand new and the stuff is amazing. Very highly rated and getting amazing reviews. Its lightweight and a little heavier than water, you dont need much. Just a thin wipe with no rubbing in. Wipe off with the special cloth like i use on my big screen.

Cool Something Better

I have used Zaino Bros ( http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc ) on all my cars for the last 6 years. This stuff is great! It wipes on, wipes off, and looks great on all colors. Looks like glass. And the more coats you put on, the deeper the glass look. I have a detailer wash it sometimes and he said he has never seen anything bead up like this and stay that way. He ordered some for his personal cars. I buy the Z-5 Pro Polish and the Z-6 Ultra Clean Gloss Enhancer Spray. You can only get it on-line but I consider it the best you can buy. The shine seems to last forever. Go check it out and some of the photo's of cars that have used it. You won't be sorry!

Turtle Ice

The Turtle Ice product is GREAT! We used some on our black cherry pearl FJ this weekend and the color looks fantastic. Not only does it look good but it was super easy to use. Thanks for passing this little gem of a product along.

TW Ice is overrated IMO. Plus it's a wax, even though they call it a polish. It's not real polish. Not to burst the bubble, but there are lots better products out there. Zaino, Klasse, Four Star ultimate paint protection, just to name a few.

If you have dark colored paint then I would recommend a natural carnauba wax instead of a synthetic. Natural wax will not last as long, but it has more depth and detail than synthetic wax. Pinnacle Souveran paste, and P21S are two of my favorite natural waxes. If you like to shop retail stores then Meguiars Yellow #26 is good too.
