Anybody got an Ipod hooked up in your FJ?

If so, how did you do it?

Ipod

Did your FJ not come with the audio auxiliary jack? I think here in Canada they all have one. That's what I use for my Ipod and it works great.

my dad has an auxillary jack and uses it for his Nano and it does really well. although you do have to remember to turn it off or else the batteries get used up.

My FJ didn't come with one as I don't have an FJ yet.

It's my want at this point but there is no way I'm getting it if I can't get my Ipod hooked up in it without too much effort.

Currently, I have an 03 Murano, and it's decent, but I'm stuck with the radio or CDs.

Canada MP3 player

You should have an external input connection, if for whatever reason you don't you can get a wireless transmitter that plugs into the Ipod & you synchronize with an unused frequency on the truck radio. The setup works fine. The transmitter should cost around $35, no more than that.

Stereo swap ...

This is the only thing the FJ lacks and that is a decent stereo. After we received ours I immediately drove it down to have a custom stereo put in. I opted for the Alpine 9857 with the iPod cable attachement. I had them run it to the compartment on the dash just in front of the steering wheel. Easy access and I am enjoying it.
