I made the mistake of purchasing a 2006 Toyota Tacoma just a few months before the FJ's came out and have been sick with envy of the FJ's ever since.

I know this is a long shot, but here goes nothing.

I have a black 06 Tacoma, V-6, Access Cab Prerunner, TRD-Off Road, towing package, 6-CD changer.

Additional add-ons include the TRD skid plate, TRD seat covers, Westin Nerf bars, a really sharp black tool box, factory alarm, TRD floor mats, door sill protectors, and a slew of other minor options.

The truck only has 7K miles and has never seen anything but pavement in DFW, Texas.

I can't bring myself to trade-in (and taking a beating on) an otherwise great truck with 7k miles for an FJ (especially considering that they are the exact same truck with just a different body).

If there are any FJ owners out there that would be interested in a swap, please post contact info here. I would of course be bringing cash to the table. I also have title in hand.

In the alternative, in the event that a potential Tacoma purchaser is cruising this forum, please contact me as well if interested.

Just take the beating at the dealer or sell your Tacoma privately. I've been in the same boat your in a few times, sometimes money doesn't matter as long as you have what you want.

Kelly Blue Book list your truck's private sale value right around $22,600. . . . .

If I were in your position, I'd sell it privately. That's a pretty good start towards paying for the FJ

Just to let you know, I traded in my 05' tacoma double cab 4x2 with 42.000 miles on it for an fully loaded 07' FJ 4x4 and they gave me 21,000 for my truck. You have WAY more than my truck did, so I think it would be at least worth a shot to try. You just have to be the one serving the beating.
