VIP RS entry/alarm?Smitty223 11-20-2002, 12:21 PM Just bought a 2002 truck, and it came the the VIP/RS stuff. It seems like its just a remote entry thing, nit an alarm. Can I attach an engine starter to this system? Is there a better way? I think I'd like to have an alarm. Luc 11-22-2002, 02:21 AM OEM alarms do not have auxiliary channels typically, but you can still add a remote start. Most remote starters have a feature that will start the car while still keeping the car armed: a semi-bypass of the OEM alarm. Then use the OEM remote to finally disarm the vehicle.
