Thats what I had in my corolla, alpines in front, back and an alpine casette head unit. EKam 12-02-2002, 12:48 PM Most likely: Fujitsu Ten PeaZs 12-02-2002, 07:00 PM my friend told me it was mostly likely to be fujitsu ten as well. are they good speakers? do they have a site? PeaZs 12-02-2002, 07:17 PM nm found the info i need, thx guys smokey8890 12-02-2002, 11:40 PM nm found the info i need, thx guys remember even its said fujitsu ten they are not like the eclipse line. PeaZs 12-03-2002, 10:18 PM remember even its said fujitsu ten they are not like the eclipse line. what u mean? smokey8890 12-04-2002, 05:29 AM remember even its said fujitsu ten they are not like the eclipse line. what u mean? http://www.eclipse-web.com/images/b_r1_c1.gif http://ebay2.ipixmedia.com/abc/M28/_EBAY_cf722ee73a66ac4fa97992f97d5d37ba/i-1.JPG PeaZs 12-04-2002, 08:49 PM my speakers say 15W on them... lol so if i get a cd deck.. itz still going to output 15W? i still wonder if these speakers are good... :-? rayray 12-04-2002, 09:00 PM let's put it this way... your speakers are S-T-O-C-K.... yes, stock. they are the balance between the consumer being satisfied with the sound at average listening volumes of the daily driver (read: low volume on easy rock radio) and the most economical parts that Toyota could put into the car (read: cheap and efficient). if you plan on playing your music with any sort of power or volume it would be best to upgrade your speakers... or else your highs will be muddy and your bass will cause them to clip. the entry level of any reputable brand would be a vast improvement in sound quality over the stock ones. here's a pic of my original rear speaker alongside my new Clarion 6x9. http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid25/pd956920953a0f5fc24750f72ecfeee52/fd874c02.jpg -rayray smokey8890 12-04-2002, 09:10 PM getting to the rear 6x9 is a pain inthe ass. PeaZs 12-04-2002, 11:18 PM hmm okie, thx for the info guys have any suggestions on which brand are good speakers and good pricing? i don't know much about speakers... which size are about average? rayray 12-05-2002, 02:36 AM pricing: buy what is within your budget. like always, you get what you pay for. brands: everyone has their own preference. shop around and actually have the sales person play something that you actually like to listen to. bring in your own CD if you want to here a certain song of yours. compare brands and go with what your ears like. size: usually stick with the size of the stock speaker location. 6.5 inchers at the front and 6x9's in the back (for Gen 3 Camry's that is). -rayray smokey8890 12-05-2002, 05:42 AM in my opinion pioneer give you the most bang for your bucks. PeaZs 12-05-2002, 07:06 PM hmm ok, i prob just get front speakers and a sub for the rear and take out the rear speakers... then fade to the front speakers have anyone tried this set up? know any other ones or better set ups? smokey8890 12-05-2002, 07:38 PM hmm ok, i prob just get front speakers and a sub for the rear and take out the rear speakers... then fade to the front speakers have anyone tried this set up? know any other ones or better set ups? why take out the rear speakers? make sure you deaden your trunk before you install the sub. my trunk rattled like a lil girl when i had subs in there. the lid is what rattle the most PeaZs 12-06-2002, 12:07 AM deaden my truck? what do you mean by deaden? oh, i was thinking since there is a sub in the back, i couldn't even hear the rear speakers.. but to think about it more, i can just leave my stock ones in there and buy new ones to replace my front stock ones smokey8890 12-06-2002, 05:47 AM deaden my truck? what do you mean by deaden? oh, i was thinking since there is a sub in the back, i couldn't even hear the rear speakers.. but to think about it more, i can just leave my stock ones in there and buy new ones to replace my front stock ones very true once you have subs in the back it would reduce the dynamics of your 6x9. takeing it out will reduce the SQ of the system. deaden your trunk just prevent your trunk from rattleing when the bass hit. if you aply it to your whole trunk's lid, walls, and floor it would clean up your bass and increase your db level. you can get 100ft. of brown bread from ebay. trust me you would know the diffrence. http://images.cardomain.com/installs/146000-146999/146367_46_full.jpg http://images.cardomain.com/installs/146000-146999/146367_42_full.jpg http://images.cardomain.com/installs/146000-146999/146367_44_full.jpg Flashmn 12-06-2002, 12:47 PM Damn man, its like your lined your trunk with soundoff ;P All I got to say is with my 10" there was no rattles in the trunk.. PeaZs 12-07-2002, 04:02 AM ahh thx smokey :) rated_w 01-15-2003, 09:17 PM That's what I need to get for my car soon.. lol my 12'' shakes the door panels at the power at 1/8 .. lol. . eeww my license plate makes a rattling sound 2. lol.. need to fix that. | |
