Hello, I have a 02 Camry XLE. I want to get tvs in the headrests. I was wondering if somehow the navigation system could play dvds? Are there any inputs/outputs on the unit? Since the unit is a DVD Navigation system, does it stand for Digital Video Disc? or Directional Video Disc? Someone please help me out. Thanks in advance. Tom

You cannot use the stock DVD player to play normal DVD's. It is a DVD-ROM kind of like in a computer. It can only access files... the "software" to decode a normal DVD is not there, and there is not a way to make it do it. There is a way to put a normal video output signal to your stock screen, but its an expensive modification. Best bet for the back seat is to just install the 2 screens, then put an aftermarket DVD player in the car. A DIN mount will go nicely in the back of the center console so the back seat people can change the DVD's themselves. Give them headsets and you can still listen to your music while they watch whatever they like.
