Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corp. (TM) Friday said it sold 134,770 vehicles of its Toyota and Lexus brands in Germany 2005, up 6.1% on the year and sales are expected to grow further in 2006.
Schrick sees sales improving due to strong demand for the Aygo, Yaris and RAV4 models. Toyota plans to sell around 16,000 Aygo, 30,000 Yaris and 18,000 RAV4 in Germany in 2006, Schrick said. Sales for the Prius hybrid car are expected to be around 4,000 after 2,900 last year, he said.
