xpeed 01-21-2006, 01:07 PM First off. THe 2007 Estima looks pretty damn nice. Too bad the US aren't selling these because these would probably be more of a competition to the Odyssey than our SIennas, even though they're considered the "Lexus" of minivans. :D

HoboJoe 01-21-2006, 07:33 PM I like that look, it's different while still managing to seem familiar. Kind of Civic-like in the front, not bad, and the rear looks like the sienna mated with an RX330, good. Nice.
lexusis350 01-22-2006, 01:01 PM It has an available 3.5L V6 with a 6-Speed Automatic with Manual-Mode
Blackraven 05-25-2006, 11:04 AM Sorry for the bump.

RAV4EVR 05-25-2006, 11:11 AM I am not a minivan guy but if Estima ever comes to USA... I may even become one.. I love it.
Old Dood 05-25-2006, 11:14 AM I love the seating in those....And I am not a Mini Van Dood either...

OFF topic old dude.. I just noticed u live in Lansing, Michigan... Was my home for my SPARTAN years... Will visit soon to check up on some of my old friends there.....
Is that Dooly's bar still there on Grand River ave? Awesome hot chicks place it was.
Old Dood 05-25-2006, 12:44 PM Yes it is there...it is another name now. (Can't remember it) nothing like the older days tho...I remember "smoking" in the old bars in East Lansing....I am not talking cigarettes either..;) It was a $5.00 fine back then....
Driver 05-25-2006, 12:54 PM I am guessing, there aren't a whole lot of safety features on that thing? Or am i wrong? I just got a 2006 Odysee a couple of months ago. It was pretty hard for me to pick between the Seinna and Odysee, but the proper space for the spare tire and better handling for the Odysee got me.
Personally i like minivans. I usually drive around with no second row seats. Makes me feel like i have a limo.
ECHOKnight2000 05-25-2006, 01:46 PM Pretty cool van I must say...maybe Toyota will bring a modified version to the U.S. as the next gen Sienna? I only say modified not only cause of emissions and safety regs but also in the U.S. unlike most (not all) places minivans have a stigma so the market itsn't really there to pimp out a van per say...an SUV is what would be more acceptable as far as many cool and high tech features which Toyota and others already offer or have...my first car was a 1987 Toyota Van, fuckin' awesome:rockon:  You sat up high and it had a short wheel base so you can take tight turns-of course it was at the point where you have to replace one thing after the next but I still love and miss my baby:sosad: :sosad: Oh well! Anyway cool van thanks for the pics.
drunken_panda 05-25-2006, 02:27 PM I am a mini van guy. Am I am 19 male. I think they should bring that over here to compete with the Mazda 5.
Comapred to the Sienna, the Previa is 12ins shorter, 7 inches narrower, about as tall, over 200 lbs lighter. I think it would be a hit. Looks hot too.
Tideland Prius 05-26-2006, 02:07 AM damn right. Give us the Estima!
Old Dood 05-26-2006, 02:40 AM Even Mrs Dood kinda liked it....that is saying allot from her.
Still, she would not let us buy it...she wants that IS250.
Toyotrucker 05-26-2006, 07:41 AM what are you guys thinking ? sienna replacement ? no way . that van is at least 6-8 inches narrower than a sienna .its a large microvan. probably qualifys as subcomact here

That Estima does have alot of safety feature like knee airbag, curtain airbag cover from first row to last row, AFS headlight, 4 wheel disk brake with ABS and EBD, VSC, laser cruise control, parking sensor, PRECRASH SYSTEM and a system that will BEEP if you drift out from you own lane. It even have safety pad on the front hood and bumper for protecting pedestrain if there isa an accident between the car itself to a pedestrain.
The problem is Japanese people usually like to keep the good stuff (3.5 V6 280hp, 6 spd auto, and the precrash system) to themselves instead for exporting worldwide.

Speaking of which, Crown Motors Hong Kong shown in their website that their New Previa has 11-airbags feature.
So, in a word, while some "goodies" are kept in Japan (like 6-speed Super ECT or 7-speed Super CVT-i while we just get 4-speed Super ECT), it is how much the dealer/distributor pays for added features/specs.
Also, I think they also have the Twin Moonroof thing (like in Taiwan). And third-row seats that "electrically fold" with a press of a button.
geo241 05-26-2006, 09:56 AM I believe that the Estima is also available and has been for about FIVE years in Japan as a HYBRID. I saw it on a Toyota showroom floor with mileage projections of around 30 mpg in city driving....
Another one....we don't get.

The Estima is bit bigger than the Mazda 5..... I don't think there'll be much competition compared to that. It's more competition to the MPV. Maybe Lexus should bring that over as their minivan, instead of dubbing the Sienna as the "Lexus" of minivans.
hiace24 05-28-2006, 09:45 PM Street racing MPV's?

Tideland Prius 05-29-2006, 01:27 AM Yeah... there's this white modded Odyssey in my city. It's lowered, bodykit, rims, exhaust.. that's all I can see. There's probably Hondata under the hood.
Qamar 04-18-2009, 11:43 AM Hi Guys
Sorry for taking you away from the main topic. Anyone who can help me in giving a link for my Estima 2007 model from which i can download the owner manual or atleast a hand book.
Thanks
