This amp uses Vaccuum Tubes in the preamp stage of the amp. They've been said to have a "warmer" sound to them. Supposedly really nice sound quality.

Oh my! Sweetness. How much did you snipe that thing for?

Tube amps make a very "warm" sound. Very relaxing. Not sure if I would want it in my car, might put me to sleep. But they are great in bedrooms or in the house. I personally like there sound, makes sad country songs even better.:whatwhat:

Oh my! Sweetness. How much did you snipe that thing for? 360 shipped. Not too good of a deal, but not bad either. I did buy a Zapco AG360 for 50 bucks shipped though :D

Gonna hook it up tomorrow. I need some spade terminals for the power and ground wire to hook it up to the amp.

haha

It sounds pretty damn good. I little less impact in the midbass compared to the MB QUart but not too much considering the mb quarts amp was 250 watts rms x 4 and this is only 75 @ 4 ohms.

I'm gonna sell it after a weeks or so. And try out the new Zapco amps :D

Sell it already? Wow, you did just buy it to see what it sounds like. Would be a sweet amp, except I bet it would hate winter.:canada: Don't tube amps usually have a turn on delay so they can warm up a bit? If they are super cold, do they take super long to turn on?

I was hoping the fan would not have been as loud as it is. It's not terribly loud, it's just that when you have an amp less than 3 feet from your ears, it's best to have a silent amp. I'd permanantly install the amp if I had a sedan.

I have to go back and listen to see if the turn on delay is noticeable.
