Couldn't work though. The Aurion is the Australian version of the new Avalon...

its built off the new Camry platform i think...

both the new Camry and Aurion will be built in the same factory in Melbourne, so i assume it will be using the same platform.
the older Avalon and Camrys were on the same platforms in Australia before aswell ;)

there isnt alot of info about it yet, the release is pretty far off the sale date.
probably have to wait for later in the year to get more detailed specs and pics though ;)

How nice is that ! Built off a camry platform but the only panels shared with camry are the doors . Cant wait for the supercharged version , 6 speed sequential auto as well.

The aurion will probably be very similiar mechanically to the new lexus es350 (which will not be available in Australia). Lexus australia are moving to rear wheel drive only cars, whereas toyota will have FWD cars.

i think u can do a front end conversion from a camry to aurion since its on a same platform

Yeah, it's nice, but there's going to be no V6 Camry for us!:sosad:

I'd like to have a choice...not interested in any 4-pot car...no matter how well built!

We never got the 3.3l V6 in Gen 5* so I dunno...

I'll have to take a look at it when it comes out as I need a new car, my 2004 Sportivo's racked up a few KM's since I got it:D

All the best,
B.

check out www.aurionv6.com.au you can watch the release show and they will give you a bit about the car, all we know is that there is the standard model, a sportivo varient and what they code nam FPC (future performace concept) that will hold the supercharged 3.5. as standard the 3.5 puts out over 190kw, but thats all we know for now, they are not letting much out. i read that when they orderd the name badge for the car it was orderd in single letters so the name would not be leaked out. i love it looks like a real mean car.
