Hi I am new to this forum so hello to all....I have owned land cruiser's my entire life I have had the FJ40 with a 283, 327, 350 Chevy's in it, years ago. I now own this Super clean 1993 Toyota Land Cruiser stock. Here is my problem I need to tow my modified Lexus SC400 across country on a dolly, although I redid the exhaust and intake and I still think it could still use more power to handle the tow job.
I am a master with the IUZFE 4.0 Liter V8 engines and was wondering if a swap can be done? Any adaptor plates out there? I would consider supercharging the IFZFE inline 6 banger but the engine has 200,000 and uses a quart of oil every 3000 miles which indicates the cylinder walls, rings and pistons are wearing. Rebuilding and TRD supercharging will be more then I want to spend. I love this car and don't want to sell. My understanding is these stock AWD transmission's can handle up too 400hp, which gave me the idea of swaping in the IUZ.. or SC400 motor. This swap would deliver 300hp which would be fantastic and offer me just as reliable an engine as the stock one. These engines are as solid as they come and cheap to own... Any thoughts on this swap of mine.
