hey all, like the title says, i'm looking for close up pics of the gen 5.5 foglights. I'm going to be cutting the holes out of my bumper and installing OEM style fogs on my LE in a few weeks... so i'd like to know how much to cut and file the bumper to make it look stock.

 clearly, i wouldn't have asked if i found what i was looking for. anyone else actually have something to add?

i'm looking for close up pictures of stock OEM foglights on gen 5.5's. particularly interested in the cutouts on the bumper (ie. how flush are the foglights to the bumper, angle/sharpness of the edge, etc). Since my bumper is molded into one piece, there is a slight curving to the edges of the fog "holes".

TIA

The corners are going to be shitty for sure. They are not straight cuts and kind of lip in to finish the edge around the lamps themselves. Good luck.

HA! No pun intended I am sure.

pgmomni - I like my car just fine. Reliable, practical. Not very exciting, but that is not the point. Good luck on your bid.

Basically, cut around the outside lines where the grooves ends. You might want to glue on some stopper liners around the edges so that there wouldn't be any leaks and loose fit. Good luck as well, it's pretty hard to cut into the bumper, you're better off getting the SE or XLE Front Bumper.

terrynham: even better, thanks!

xpeed: this is just temporary until I can afford to get an SE bumper and have the time to get it painted. I have a dremel with fiberglassed reinforced discs so it should make short work of the material. Once I actually get the bumper off, i'll see how it looks in the back... I'm thinking standoffs drilled into where the stock mounting points would normally be should help in keeping the foglights flush and tight.

No. Gen 5 and 5.5 are different.
