I own a 2000 Landcruiser and was intending on changing my shocks and I was wondering if Bilstein would be a good replacement shock? Or is there another type of shock that i could use other than Oem??

Thanks

If you are interested in non-OEM, I have heard good things about Old Man Emu (OME). Check at www.sleeoffroad.com (http://www.sleeoffroad.com) or one of the many other Land Cruiser parts vendors. Bilsteins are good for on-road use, but the pressure probably too high for off-road use.

I installed OME shocks (Old Man EMU) on my 2001 LC almosta a year and a half ago. They have two diiferent versions - Medium and heavy duty. They are built tough. I tow a 6000# trailer on occaions so I went with the heavy duty. Good shocks but ride is lot harder when truck is not loaded. If you are looking for cushy ride than you should stick with OEM(Toyota) shocks. Otherwise I would recommed OME shocks in medium duty.
