Toyota couldnt afford some decent cammo? 91MR2quickNA 08-17-2006, 02:10 AM Maybe this exemplifies Toyota's "engineering crunch." REN69 08-17-2006, 07:53 AM While Toyota will release the new Corolla at this fall’s Paris Motor Show in its standard versions as the 10th generation of this best seller model, a new sporty coupe like variant should be expected to come on the market quite some time later only. Woah.. what are the chances of Toyota bringing back the coupes to north america?? :sosad: trxr 08-29-2006, 09:29 PM Pizzickz http://thehollywoodextra.blogspot.com/2006/08/next-euro-corolla.html#comments http://thehollywoodextra.blogspot.com/2006/08/euro-corolla-interior.html#comments 02AspenGreen 08-29-2006, 10:51 PM ^The exterior reminds me of the Yaris(Front) and the Fit(Rear) The interior reminds me of the Rav4 Camread 08-30-2006, 09:00 AM how would a raised hoodline protect pedestrians? so if you get hit with the new regulated bumper, you will be thrown 15ft instead of 17ft with the old design? seems stupid! SILVERadoTACOMA 08-30-2006, 10:02 AM Not bad.... but I hope they enlarge the rear window for the production cars. Hemi3TC 08-30-2006, 12:07 PM When Toyota actually had a decent car line up, Back in the early 80s. The Corolla came in Coupe, Liftback, sedan and hardtop. The Coupe was a fastback style 2 door with a hatchback. The liftback was also a 2 door hatchback too, but in the Matrix wagon way. That new Corolla looks like a 3-dr hatch like the Matrix. The hatch is more vertical than angled like a fastback. coupe hatch...? it's called a 3-dr hatch lol h3tc 98CamryLE 08-30-2006, 02:40 PM Why does it have a Michigan manufacturer plate? Aren't Corollas built in California or Canada? I didn't think Toyota had any plants or any kind of design center in Michigan. nmehes 08-30-2006, 03:38 PM how would a raised hoodline protect pedestrians? so if you get hit with the new regulated bumper, you will be thrown 15ft instead of 17ft with the old design? seems stupid! Raising hood above the engine = more crumple room before the hood hits the engine block (doesn't crumple) same engineering as Yaris. Camread 08-30-2006, 04:47 PM unless the car is made of jello, you will DIE when it struck you. doesn't matter how high the hoods raised. Yota4Ever 08-30-2006, 07:23 PM unless the car is made of jello, you will DIE when it struck you. doesn't matter how high the hoods raised. No you wont Kevs Toy 08-30-2006, 08:29 PM I'm just hoping the rumors of a 200 hp powerplant are true, along with a 6 speed manual. Even though I think Toyota needs to have it produce more hp than an Si with less weight and LSD. Time to show those Honduh kids who makes the better car nyscene911 08-30-2006, 08:50 PM http://www.worldcarfans.com/spyphotos.cfm/country/jcf/spyphotoID/6060814.001/toyota/spy-photos-new-toyota-corolla-coupe Well at least I found their inspiration http://www.afrotechmods.com/submitted/honda/15.jpg Bling-bling motha-fuckas  http://www.afrotechmods.com/submitted/honda/honda.htm ECHOKnight2000 08-30-2006, 10:24 PM ^^^^Wow...I don't know whether to break down crying or stab myself repeatedly in the heart and bleed to death, then come back a live and do it over again...how about both.   trxr 08-30-2006, 11:21 PM they are legit, but whats a Corolla hatch doing in the US? http://img134.imagevenue.com/aAfkjfp01fo1i-14095/loc303/94464_corolla1.3_122_303lo.jpg http://www.japanesecarfans.com/spyphotos/6060814.001/6060814.001.mini3L.jpg trxr 08-30-2006, 11:22 PM and the nose looks kinda like a BMW 1 series. rolla-XRS 08-30-2006, 11:35 PM Why does it have a Michigan manufacturer plate? Aren't Corollas built in California or Canada? I didn't think Toyota had any plants or any kind of design center in Michigan. Ann Arbor, MI is home of the Toyota Technical Centre (TTC). Perhaps they're testing the vehicle? Camread 08-31-2006, 08:02 AM they are legit, but whats a Corolla hatch doing in the US? the euro hatch will be the next matrix. the new corolla will have a diff styling with a camry-like interior. 98CamryLE 09-01-2006, 12:18 AM Ann Arbor, MI is home of the Toyota Technical Centre (TTC). TRDcrazy 09-28-2006, 11:42 AM this it maybe: http://www.leftlanenews.com/2006/09/28/toyota-auris-concept-2007-corolla-previewed/ Yota4Ever 09-28-2006, 01:45 PM this it maybe: http://www.leftlanenews.com/2006/09/28/toyota-auris-concept-2007-corolla-previewed/ Damn the new Matrix looks amazing! Me loves it :) ECHOKnight2000 09-28-2006, 02:07 PM Yeah I agree! I like it a lot! I like that gold color...I also like the dash interior trim, I like the design patterns on the steering wheel and dash and the speedo cluster is pretty cool. I'm sure a variation will show up on our shores...we'll see! Gekko 10-02-2006, 09:49 AM Don't know if that is the next Matrix. But the gold-coloured vehicle in the pictures will debute on the Paris Autoshow of this year as the Toyota Auris. First indications is that it will only appear on the JDM and EU market. Althrough it looks like the next Corolla, Toyota claims it is not. I think that the the Auris is the top-range (XRS) model. The lower grade models, which will be a little bit more dull, are sold as 'Corolla' or which name Toyota choose to give it (as Toyota claims to stop using the name Corolla in Europe). It could be that this model beeing sold as the Matrix in US. But the Auris is smaller then the Matrix, so i have my doubts. But then again. Why roadtesting it in the US? One more thing. Compare these pics with the spy pics which start this topic.. ..they have allot of things in common (look at the small window at the side mirrors). Tideland Prius 10-02-2006, 11:08 AM Well, the Auris is supposedly replacing the Corolla hatchback while the sedan will retain the Corolla name. | |
