Guys, those are the new performance body kits that Toyota will introduce across their line up...you can get three different colors, brown, dark brown, and then top of the line duct tape silver and brown...of course don't drive during a rain storm:disappoin :lol: :lol: :lol:

how would a raised hoodline protect pedestrians? so if you get hit with the new regulated bumper, you will be thrown 15ft instead of 17ft with the old design? seems stupid!

When Toyota actually had a decent car line up, Back in the early 80s.
The Corolla came in Coupe, Liftback, sedan and hardtop.
The Coupe was a fastback style 2 door with a hatchback.
The liftback was also a 2 door hatchback too, but in the Matrix wagon way.

That new Corolla looks like a 3-dr hatch like the Matrix. The hatch is more vertical than
angled like a fastback.

Why does it have a Michigan manufacturer plate? Aren't Corollas built in California or Canada? I didn't think Toyota had any plants or any kind of design center in Michigan.

Raising hood above the engine = more crumple room before the hood hits the engine block (doesn't crumple) same engineering as Yaris.

I'm just hoping the rumors of a 200 hp powerplant are true, along with a 6 speed manual. Even though I think Toyota needs to have it produce more hp than an Si with less weight and LSD. Time to show those Honduh kids who makes the better car

Yeah I agree! I like it a lot! I like that gold color...I also like the dash interior trim, I like the design patterns on the steering wheel and dash and the speedo cluster is pretty cool. I'm sure a variation will show up on our shores...we'll see!:thumbup:

Don't know if that is the next Matrix. But the gold-coloured vehicle in the pictures will debute on the Paris Autoshow of this year as the Toyota Auris. First indications is that it will only appear on the JDM and EU market. Althrough it looks like the next Corolla, Toyota claims it is not. I think that the the Auris is the top-range (XRS) model. The lower grade models, which will be a little bit more dull, are sold as 'Corolla' or which name Toyota choose to give it (as Toyota claims to stop using the name Corolla in Europe). It could be that this model beeing sold as the Matrix in US. But the Auris is smaller then the Matrix, so i have my doubts. But then again. Why roadtesting it in the US?

One more thing. Compare these pics with the spy pics which start this topic.. ..they have allot of things in common (look at the small window at the side mirrors). :rolleyes:
