CHIEF NEMESIS ??? I like the choice of words.......... Sorry no offence to the GM and Ford lovers.... Please forgive me.

Toyota, Ford’s and GM’s chief nemesis, builds several of its best products within the borders of the United States. The Corolla, Camry, Sienna, and Tacoma are among the most durable and popular models in their respective classes. The Avalon is exactly what Buick should be building but isn’t, and the Sequoia SUV has proven popular with people who need the space and capability of a full-size SUV. The Tundra hasn’t proven competitive against traditional full-size pickups, but a larger, more powerful, completely redesigned version is due for launch next year. To be built in a new assembly plant. Located in San Antonio, Texas. Texas, the heart of pickup country. Just try and tell us that San Antonians won’t want to help support their neighbors by buying a new Tundra.

Toyota Avalon – Georgetown, Kentucky
Toyota Camry – Georgetown, Kentucky
Toyota Camry Solara – Georgetown, Kentucky
Toyota Corolla – Fremont, California
Toyota Sequoia – Princeton, Indiana
Toyota Sienna – Princeton, Indiana
Toyota Tundra – Princeton, Indiana
Toyota Tacoma – Fremont, California

Really wahts so amazing about a Toyota? It feels like a chore to drive, than a actual experience. I can see why the average buying age is so high...

I think trxr is just pulling you around RAV4EVR. You have to admit that is one strange article you have found there! Or perhaps something has happened to trxr's Matrix?

Is this page a reply to the "Keep your job? Eat your japanese car!" article we saw some time ago?

Well. It doesn't really matter. I think I will buy French next time around - France makes one of the most reliable cars you can get, although it is a bit expensive.

I am buying american. While GM and Ford are shedding employees, jobs, and plants in the US Toyota is steadily adding them. How does that make our big 2 look:-(. It's kinda humiliating and shows that GM and Ford is a grossly mismanaged organization.

Thats retarded to me. As an economist, you do whatever you need to do to keep your company afloat. If your american, then your doing your duty of 'buying/consuming' - cus the purchasing power of the consumer IMO is the backbone of american economy. If when you start the wealth-accumulation (at a cost of spending/consuming) thats when it makes a difference. But then again to me most people are retarded to begin with...LOL

Hey. I'm completely serious! Show me a supermini which is better overall than the one I can get from the factory in Valenciennes. You zre serious??? Do you honestly think France makes reliable cars? I known that they sell a lot of cars in our country, but they are far from reliable! To me it is futuristic plastic cars, with a lot of advanced technology which often fails because of the lack of quality! And i dont like the look either, well the peugeot 406 coupe is one of the most beatiful cars in the world, but the rest, hell no. But french cars are not reliable, unless you rely on them to fail;) and to qoute another person from the discussionboard where you introduced me to TN: "Har du ikke råd til andet, så køb en fransk bil - så får du aldrig råd til andet" and translated "If you can't afford otherwise, buy french - then you´ll never afford anything else" ----------------------- Edit: I just realised what a complete idiot I am... i'll go bury my self in my lawn!

Hehe... well I've got juice enough to admit when i'm stupid, and besides, its not like it happens that often :whatwhat: hehe but stille i'm glad i found out myself, because i bet you would have corrected me!

Built essex built good.. if you consider the Carina E, england wasn't a great place to build a Toyota, but the first and now second generation Avensis has proven that a Toyota works anywhere, for my anyway...

I just bought a new Camry Hybrid J car. When the US starts building their vehicles that have the same or better quality then I will buy one.

If we purchase vehicles just because they were made here aren't we supporting poorly made vehicles like Ford, with their engine fires, paint problems, plastic parts designed to fail after the warranty is up.

I have a Japanese Lexus GS 300 with 215k, please show me all of the american made cars that have 200K+ that you just perform routine maint. to.

Not to say that I do not wish the hard working people who build cars here the best.

Just believe in quality products.

So I invest and spend money in other ways to support our country.

And whats with all the emphasis on Toyota supremacy around here?

It's an absolute mystery...the proper government investigators have been officially queried & a thorough investigation is now under way.

We'll let you know if they find out why.
