I saw a Honduh Element on the freeway this morning, it was butt and that Xb is equally nauseating...

I'd rather have an Echo or Corolla or Matrix any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Well, underpowered is certainly true. They're both coming out the the 1NZ-FE. The same 1.5L engine as the Echo. Which I can't believe! They're gonna be brutally slow.

the Xb is one sexy bitch.... kinda like the element ... at first it's a piece of shit (still is) but once you drive one for a week and actually use the thing... you start to love it (except the looks)


where as the Xb is much better in styling and uses one color flat panels instead of the plastic shit on the element and comes with the better name TOYOTA to back it up instead of HONDA


the Xa looks like toyota's competition for the ford focus

Well I read up some more on these things in C & D.
Aparently they will be offering an optional Front Strut Tower Brace (US$225) and an optional Cold Air Intake (US$330). Which is pretty cool. I've never seen a factory CAI. Toyota won't say how much of a HP gain the CAI will give but C & D estimates around 10.

What interested me was the next Scion. This month the xA and xB are rolling out in California dealerships, but this time next year when they are all over they will release another Scion model. C & D were very vauge about it but it is supposed to be a lot "sportier" than these two. Anyone heard more stuff about this one?

Oh yeah me and my girl saw a new Element on the highway and I told her I thought it was ugly. She says: "Really?, I think it's cute.":rolleyes: :lol:

I went to a local Toyota dealer and I saw a few xA's there. They're shorter than I remember. The xB isn't as big as I remember also. It did look nice though :)

If Toyota is smart the new scion will be cheap @ss rwd coupe. No Clue what platform it would be on though. That might stop them from doing it. They can put the 2.4L engine in that ride and keep the weight under 2500 pounds. Can anyone say resurrection of the AE86? With a torquey 4 cylinder and light weight, that car would kick @ss.

Well there's what they call the xA in Japan...

My Corolla gets better gas mileage than the xB and xA and is 1+ seconds faster through the quarter and I paid only about a grand more.:thumbdown

I say they are worthless. They just can't compete with the cars we have here unless they trade them for peanuts. Just my preference though

The echo is lighter quicker and has a roomier interior than the XA
