Technically it is here. I believe the Aurion is based off the Toyota Camry (modified of course) so its Australia, and most of the Asian countries that get the Aurion. I think both the Camry and the Aurion are very sexy especially the sports versions of each car. Or maybe the Aurion is based off the Avalon? Something like that.:thumbup:

:lol: Today: Brand-new Camry SE, weaving in and out of traffic next to me & hauling ass off from stoplights like he was a BMW driver.:lol: (Well, I guess increased performance has its downside! :lol: )

Hmmm sounds like these "GR" engines aren't as stout as we would like to think. I guess its still no replacement for the 2JZ.

Aurion is Austrial's version of an Avalon, just more aggressive oriented as opposed to luxury. There are no V6 camries in Aus, so if you want 2gr power you opt for the Aurion.

Don't think so since that model hilux was released roughly the same time as the current tacoma.

nah we dont get the Avalon based car the Aurion is just a gen6 chinese camry. We get gen6 camry in I4 only and they bung on new front and back panels and 2GR-FE V6 for the Aurion varaint of the gen6. All made in melbourne toyota plant.

And just as I suspected, this car is not simply a poweful engine with some suspension mods on a stock Aurion. Looking at all the videos, a lot of work went into the engine, suspension, brake system, and significant reinforcements into the chassis itself. The video of the car on the track speaks volumes, as it seems to be a very good handling and cornering machine.
