I don't get it? Is this your opinion, or is there a link to an article? It is definately old and boring looking but I wasn't too sure how much of a knock off it really was???? rolla-XRS 03-13-2007, 08:48 PM Looks like one of the vans they use for private busses (taxis??) in Egypt. cpruitt 03-13-2007, 08:50 PM http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/troll.gif http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/troll.gif http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/troll.gif http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/troll.gif http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/troll.gif http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/troll.gif http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/troll.gif http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/troll.gif http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/troll.gif http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/troll.gif http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/troll.gif Sweet cats you have there hiace24 03-13-2007, 10:00 PM Yea thats the bonnet version hiace and that been around since 95-96, is now replaced in JDM by the alphard. :slap: :thumbsdow Dana_15 03-14-2007, 05:53 AM Sweet cats you have there  Maybe I was wrong about you, but we get a lot of trolls and spammers here....it was an odd first post. Lasse D 03-14-2007, 06:15 AM It's the "facelifted" HiAce we get here. The exterior changes are kept to an absolute minimum to keep the cost for replacement parts down. I have seen one or two in this version. The most common one I see is this: http://www.krematoorium.ee/english/transport2.jpg Vans like these in Europe are used like trucks are in USA. It is extremely reliable, cheap to repair, has pretty low safety equipment (a couple of airbags and ABS), roomy and good fuel economy (the 2.5l diesel gets 28mpg). A copy of the Aerostar? Nope. ShawnM 03-14-2007, 04:15 PM Actually it looks just like a early 90's VW Eurovan. jhbhatia 03-14-2007, 04:38 PM I've driven hiace before. they are awesome and seat a LOT of people. There are whole lot of asian van's we dont get here and they were ALWAYS available abroad. Only a TROLL who's ignorant wouldn't know all this cus, he lives in his little "i love domestics" cocoon. Live and grow up... Here is hyundai: http://www.rentaurora.cl/H100van3.gif Here is Nissan: http://nissan-apl.com/newsite/imgs/vehicles/urvan/urvan-main.jpg These three are among the best, with my personal fav being nissan. (it had dual a/c's and removable seats - toyota didn't have removable seats last i checked). Toysrme 03-14-2007, 05:02 PM And the Crown is a Buick Park Avenue 3,000. Who gives a shit? LoL! Camread 03-14-2007, 05:56 PM American version "LoAce" - 2008 Scion xB: :naughty: http://tyt.tnpv.net/Image/2007/02/TYT2007020676706_PV.jpg http://tyt.tnpv.net/Image/2007/02/TYT2007020609303_PV.jpg ea8631 03-14-2007, 06:27 PM These three are among the best, with my personal fav being nissan. I really hope they have one of those for sale in NA. back to the original post, that actually is the euro spec hiace, the jdm version called Regius. http://www.cars-directory.net/pictures/toyota/regius/pic_toyota_regius_13323.jpg hiace24 03-15-2007, 10:49 AM (it had dual a/c's and removable seats - toyota didn't have removable seats last i checked). Heres your removable seats!!!! http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f155/hiace24/t07_F2124_7.jpg BTW the hyundai is a badgeneerd mitsi L300 ea8631 03-15-2007, 02:47 PM ^^ I didn't know it do have removable seat...my bad. RAV4EVR 03-15-2007, 04:25 PM  Funny new dude.... Those vans are very comfortable. I wish they had those in USA... Completely decked out HIACES are awesome !!! 98CamryLE 03-16-2007, 11:05 AM They use those vans all over the Southern Carabbean. They use them a lot for transporting tourists from the cruise ships to various excursions on the islands. They all look pretty much the same. (In the Carabbean they are all white- so try finding the right one when there's like 20 parked all in the same lot) They were pretty comfy considering all of the people that they carry. Tons of head room, and the A/C works great for a vehicle that size. RAV4EVR 03-16-2007, 01:00 PM They use those vans all over the Southern Carabbean. Razo-E 03-18-2007, 01:21 AM glad we didn't get those ugly sons of bitches here in the US.. well, we did, but they're gone now... xpeed 03-18-2007, 02:13 PM I've been in one of those Hyundai Vans. They're freakin comfortable and spacious! Much more spacious than the Savanna, and without the jolts and bumps you go through when sitting in the back. Last time I rode in the Savanna, I literally flew up and hit my head on the roof when the van was going over a bumpb at 5 miles per hour. Horrible! The Hyundai doesn't do that! pjsammy 03-21-2007, 09:23 PM toyota reached vehicular perfection with the 1984 Toyota Van. I maintain this fact. And yes, I own a 1984 Toyota Van (stick:)) of course I jest....but it's still a hell of a vehicle! REN69 03-21-2007, 10:09 PM I drove an 84 van for Years! dual sunroofs, cooler that didn't work, power everything, welded shut rear door lol!, Toaster vans FTW! :D  BTW the Japanese automakers had been doing the whole Microbus thing (yes, that's what they're called) for years before the american automakers decided.. Hey, Wait a minute! let's copy these little microbuses.. except we'll call them "MINIVANS" so no one suspects! :ugh3:  MAR 03-21-2007, 11:18 PM OMG it's a conspiracy! ID_hauler 03-22-2007, 08:08 PM I like my 2005 ADM (American Domestic Market) Sienna. DoubleEdgedWomb 03-23-2007, 02:31 AM VW made the original microbus. DougDangger 03-29-2007, 03:46 PM No thanks, you can keep your HiACE. I have no desires to be on a wheel chair. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JIFmy355QA I'll stick to the Savanna since the front engine compartment will absorb the impact, not my legs. http://www.jimhudson.com/pontiacgmc/inventory/vans/quad/28822quad.jpg  DougDangger 03-29-2007, 04:03 PM BTW the Japanese automakers had been doing the whole Microbus thing (yes, that's what they're called) for years before the american automakers decided.. Dana_15 03-30-2007, 04:53 AM Yes Mod, why isn't a racist poster banned? :dunno: Is racism or racist comment now tolerated in TN non-Off-Topic threads? But something is in the works, that post is completely unacceptable. I don't think the ability to edit or modify offensive posts is the main problem here. It's basically the poster(s) that you and other mods here continuously tolerate and allow verbal attacks to real TN enthusiasts. TN now reminds me of north american justice systems, where dangerous criminals with multiple offenses are given many "second" chances, while still doing more crime. Just so you know Dana_15, TN is no longer the pleasant place it was used to be, mainly due to poor screening process and tolerance of brand-bashing and personal/racist attacks. Consider this my last post, PM or email me when TN is back to when it was used to be. Thanks. Brand bashing is all personal opinion, its fine as long as it is DONE CIVALLY, nothing wrong with argueing. As for personal/racist attacks, believe me i have no tolerance for that and neither does any other moderator. We cant read every single thread (although we try), PM us if there is a personal/racist attack, those people will be dealt with. | |
